HP.APARAT

“You don’t take photographs — you are given them.”

Photography as awareness, not possession.

I am Marian Reuter, a photographer based in Darmstadt, Germany.
Photography, for me, is not an act of control, but of attention.

The world is already complete.
Light moves, clouds gather, landscapes breathe.
My role is simply to be present — to recognize the moment when nature, time, and awareness briefly align.

I work with both digital and analog photography, drawn especially to natural environments and fleeting phenomena: storm fronts, night skies, quiet horizons, places without a voice in marketing or spectacle. These moments are not staged — they are received.

Alongside my personal work, I am Head of Photography at Asphaltgold and work as a freelance visual artist. Beyond the camera, I publish photo books, organize creative gatherings, and create spaces where emerging artists can be seen and heard.

HP APARAT is not about capturing reality.
It is about participating in it — and inviting the viewer to slow down, look again, and remember that seeing itself is a creative act.
